Voorjaar - Spring

Vandaag eens een paar voorjaarskaarten met de mooie tijdloze tulpen. Ik heb de tulpenkransen gemaakt met de Stamparatus en masking techniek. Ik ben heel blij met hoe deze kransen zijn geworden, zo fris en het geeft mij echt een lentegevoel.

Today some spring examples with the set Tijdloze tulpen. I made the tulip wreaths using some masking technique and of course the Stamparatus. So happy how it turned out, it gives me a real spring feeling.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 17)

Even een eenvoudig kaartje met een ouder set en gesponste achtergrond.

Kleurenchallenge rood paars - Color challenge red purple

Deze maand mocht ik de kleurencombinatie bepalen, wat prijsde ik mij gelukkig en ik dacht gelijk aan de natuur namelijk rood van klaprozen in combinatie met lavendel dus paars. En ik had ook daarbij een idee in mijn hoofd welke stempels ik wou gebruiken namelijk de Painted poppies en de Beautiful you. Ik zag immers een veld van lavendel met klaprozen ertussen voor mij. Later ontstond dan ook het idee om in het lavendelveld een vrouw met een rode jurk te laten lopen en ook dat vond ik een leuk idee. Maar ook een gesponste achtergrond met daarop een vlinder in rood en paars is natuurlijk mogelijk. Deze combi gaf mij echt heel veel inspiratie.

This months challenge is one of red and purple and I had to make that choice. I had the start color red and had to think about a color to go with it. I thought of nature and a field of lavender with some poppies in it so I came to red and purple. And I knew which stamps I wanted to use the Beautiful you and Painted poppies and later on I sponged even a background and put a butterfly from the Butterfly brilliance bundle on it. I first thought of a field of lavender with poppies but I also came of the idea of a field of lavender where a lady in a red dress is walking. I am very happy with all my cards, they cheered me up and I did not have that much inspiration in a long time.

Koningsdag - Kingsday

Vandaag is het koningsdag en deze keer maakte ik ook eens een kaartje met referentie daarnaar namelijk bomen met oranje bloesem. Ik gebruikte onze nieuwe stansen Inspired Canopy.

Today is kingsday so I decided to make a card with reference to that, I used our newest Inspired canopy dies to make these trees of oranje blossom.

Rode vensterluiken - red window shutters

Vandaag heb ik voor jullie een eenvoudig kaartje met de Welcoming window set, ik vind de glas-in-lood venster wel mooi, heb het hier eenvoudig gehouden, met enkel bovenaan wat geel. Heb gekozen voor rode vensterluiken en voorop een paar rode bloempotten met mooie plantjes erin. De bloemenrand en het vogeltje komen uit Grace's Garden.

Today I have a very simple card for you made with the Welcoming window set. I love the glass-in-lead window I kept it simple, just adding some yellow. I took some red window shutters and some flowerpots in front of the house. The flowerborder and the little birdy is from Grace's garden set.

Pensioen - retirement

Een maand geleden ging een collega van mijn man met pensioen, reden om een kaartje te  maken. Maar pfff ik maak zelden dergelijke kaarten dus het was even de hersenen pijnigen. Gelukkig wist ik dat hij wel eens op vakantie geweest was naar een zonnig oord dus ik vermoed dat daar wel boten geweest zullen zijn en onze set A good man met de man die zo lekker lui in zijn strandstoel zit, past daar zo mooi bij. Dus ik heb met heel wat sets deze kaart samengesteld, het kostte mij anderhalf uur, maar ik ben dan ook heel trots op mijn eerste pensioenkaart die ik maakte. 

A month ago a colleague of my husband went on retirement, a reason to make a card but not easy as I never made such a card. But I knew he went on a holiday last year to the sea so probably with boats so the idea grew to make it with that set in combination with the set A good man where the man is really relaxing in his chair. It took me 1,5 hours to make the card but I am very happy with my first retirement card.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 16)

Maar wat is een kerst zonder pakjes en eigenlijk een tekst die geschikt is voor de Nederlandse vriendinnen, het hoort wel eerder bij sinterklaas maar dat is ook in dezelfde maand dus ik vind het wel heel toepasselijk op die manier, uiteindelijk willen we gewoon dat iedereen komt kijken naar de pakjes en de mooie boom.

Christmas time is a time of gifts too so I put the tree with the gifts from an older set in front of the card and the Dutch text fits for the happening on the 6th of December, but it is still the same month and people just need to come see the gifts and the tree, which will later on be decorated.
