Color combo pretty in pink - crumb cake - garden green and highland heather

Deze keer is de kleurencombinatie iets makkelijker namelijk pretty in pink, crumb cake, garden green and Highland Heather. So I chose the pink and purple for the flowers, and the green for the text and the stems. And the crumb cake is used as card base, with a bit of pink in behind it too. Some little golden dragonflies are added for the sparkle, although I added wink of Stella to the flowers too.

Todays color combo is an easier one, pretty in pink and highland heather which I used for flowers, and garden green for the stems. Sketch challenge with ocean friends

Jullie weten dat ik het altijd moeilijk vind om met een sketch te werken, maar op een of andere manier lukte het mij deze keer toch al beter. Ik had wat stukjes papier liggen, ging gewoon aan de slag en legde deze op een basis kaart. Het werd uiteindelijk deze vrolijke Ocean Friends kaart. 

You all know I find it difficult to work with a sketch but this time I managed pretty quickly to make a card. I had some pieces of cardstock on my table, just put them on my base card and made this ocean friend card.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 21)

Kon het niet laten nog een rendiertje voor jullie ingekleurd ook deze wenst jullie op deze donderdag een fijne kerst toe, iets te vroeg misschien maar ach zo maak je gedurende het jaar echt wel een voorraadje.

 I could not resist in making another reindeer card which I colored with my pencils. He also wishes you a Merry Christmas, I know it is still early, but in this way I have a pile of cards for the end of the year.

ATC groen - ATC green

Deze keer heb ik voor jullie een ATC die ik maakte voor de uitdaging in Canada voor de leuke groep van Connie. Het moesten allemaal groene tinten zijn. Dus tja dat was even puzzelen maar het lukte toch, een groene dino en deze op de voorgrond van een paar groene takjes en wat struikjes voorop.

 I take part in an ATC exchange with a group under direction of Connie in Canada. I love to make them but this time it was difficult it should all be green shades. So I took a green dino, some greenery at the back and a green bush in the front. What do you think?

Kleurencombo Peach pie - lemon lolly - coastal cabana - fresh fresia

Gisteren was er de uitdaging van #acardadayinmay met de kleuren Peach pit - lemon lolly - coastal cabana en fresh fresia. Ik gebruikte hiervoor de set feathered kun. Ik heb de vogels soms direct gestempeld en soms even de inkt afgestempeld, zodat het lichter oogt. De nootjes heb ik er zelf bij getekend. Ik maakte twee varianten vermits ik de vogeltjes toch had gestempeld, vind ze beide wel iets hebben. Geen makkelijke combi.

 

Yesterday there was the challenge #acardadayinmay with the colors peach pie - lemon lolly - coastal cabana and fresh fresia. Not an easy combi so I took the feather fun set and stamped the birds once in dark and once after stamping of the stamps. As I had enough birds I made two cards with them. The music notes are hand drawn.

Geboorte - Birth

Tja alweer een jaartje ouder vandaag. 57 jaar geleden kwam ik ter wereld, wie had dat kunnen denken dat ik jaren later babykaartjes en ATC's met baby thema zou maken? Ik heb deze keer ervoor gekozen om niet elk kaartje gelijk te maken, maar net iets anders door zelf de rompertjes iets anders te versieren.

Yes, 57 years ago I came to this world. Such a long time ago. And I did not dream of making cards then. But now I made a lot of baby cards and baby ATC's. This time the ATC's are not all the same, I decorated each onesie just a bit different.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 20)

Vandaag een leuk rendier voor jullie, ik vind dit nog steeds een dier dat ook bij de kerst past en zeker nu hij zo lief zijn kerstboompje showt.

Today I show you a cute reindeer, I still love him how he stands here with his Christmas tree. Nice as a Christmas card.

Afgelopen zaterdag was er een feestje te ere van een tante van mijn man, zij werd 85. Ja daar hoort natuurlijk een heel mooie kaart bij. Zij is zelf ook heel creatief (schilderen op bordjes), dus ik vond dat het een vrolijke kaart moest worden. Ik heb de bloem in roze tinten gemaakt, er nog glitter steentjes in de harten van de bloemen gezet, het getal 85 en veel liefs in donkere tint. Ik vind hem heel mooi. Wij werden ook gevraagd om mee te doen aan het alternatieve alfabet, namelijk een tekst maken met een letter en dat met een foto afgeven. Het werden bij ons Q van Quality time en C van creativiteit. Ik kon wel niet mee, maar vond wel dat ik een tekst met Jan kon meegeven. Dus bij mijn tekst dan ook nog een foto erbij van de kaarsen die ik ooit maakte voor haar en van een bordje van haar dat ik bij ons vorige samenzijn had gefotografeerd. En bij Jans tekst had ik een foto van Cadzand geplaatst want daar hadden wij quality time genoten.

Last Saturday there was a celebration of Aunt Emma (aunt of my husband Jan) she had her 85th birthday. As she is also creative, she paints on plates, I made a very beautiful card for her in pink colors with in the heart of the flowers a pink shiny stone and the text and number is in dark blue. I love it. 

We had to make a text with a central letter, we chose Q for quality time as we had that with her a couple of years ago in Cadzand, so to the text I added a picture of the sea. And C for creativity as I and she are creative and I added pictures of the candles I gave her that day and the plate I took a picture of then. I could not attend the celebration but I gave the text with my husband to give to her so I was a bit with them too. 

Bloemenliefde - flower love

Af en toe is het leuk om iemand te verrassen met een bloemenkaart. Dus die lelies zijn daar heel geschikt voor en dan daarbij een eenvoudige spreuk dan kan het voor elke gelegenheid. Wat denken jullie?

In elk geval deze kaart is mee naar de lentefair in de molenhof vandaag.

Once and awhile it is nice to surprise some one with some flowers and a simple text on it so it fits for different occasions. I love the one. You too?

 

Color combo Petunia pop - azure afternoon - lemon lime twist - daffodil delight

Deze kleuren combinatie van petunia pop, azure afternoon, lemon time twist en daffodil delight ligt mij heel goed, ik wist onmiddellijk wat het zou worden namelijk vrolijke bloemen en dat met de mooie set impressions baloom. Een mooi online only set. Het blauw gebruikte ik voor de achtergronden en de de andere kleuren voor de bloemen zelf. Het geel komt misschien maar schaars voor enkel in het hart van de bloemen, maar ook wel wat in de spatjes op de achtergrond.

 This color combo of petunia pop, azure afternoon, lemon lime twist and daffodil delight was a color combo I adore and which was easy to make. I chose immediately the impressions abloom set as I could use most of the colors for the flowers and the blue then for the background. I love it.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 19)

Een tijdje terug had ik leuke kaarten gemaakt met een doorzichtig midden paneel met vlinders, maar wie zegt dat het alleen voor het voorjaar of de zomer kan? Het kan ook voor kerst of de winter. Ik heb hier het mooie DSP van afgelopen winter genomen en de klokjes min of meer doen zweven.

 A while ago I made some hexagon fun fold cards with flying butterflies on the opaque middle panel. But no one tells you it can only be done for spring or summer, why not use nice DSP and make a Christmas or winter card with it. I use the DSP from last winter catalogue.

Ideas Bloghop Fast and fabulous - Cutest onesie

                                      

Vandaag gaan wij weer lekker hoppen met de IDEAS groep, een groep van internationale demonstratices die jullie willen inspireren met hun projecten en die hiervoor allemaal een tutorial hebben gemaakt.  

Ja af en toe hebben wij nood aan veel kaartjes die snel en simpel te maken zijn. Vorig jaar koos ik het thema condoleance, vandaag kies ik voor baby. Ik gebruikte opnieuw de cutest onesie, en toch zijn de kaartjes weer heel anders. Ik heb immers details toegevoegd zodat elk kaartje uniek is. Ik heb mini kaartjes en grotere gemaakt. En natuurlijk mag je niet vergeten om je envelop ook te bestempelen.

Elke tutorial in de bundel bevat minimaal een kaart en een ander project, soms zelfs meerdere. Sketch challenge citrus blooms

Deze sketch vond ik wel wat moeilijker, had wel een idee maar het uitwerken was dan toch niet zo eenvoudig. Uiteindelijk koos ik voor het DSP van citrus Blooms en heb ik de grote cirkel vervangen door de appelsientjes, en de stippen zijn bij mij de bloemetjes van die takjes. Ik vind het wel leuk geworden. 

 This challenge was a bit difficult, I had an idea what to take but how to make it was a bit of a struggle. I changed the big round by using the citrus fruit and the dots are the flowers. I love how it turned out.

Zeep doosjes - soap boxes

Wat denk je van een leuk zeepdoosje? Ik gebruikte ook hier weer de set blij boeket, deze keer in paarse tinten. Deze doosjes gaan mee volgende week zaterdag naar de lentemarkt in de Molenhof in Zaamslag.

What do you think about a box with soap? I made these boxes with the set blij boeket, this time in purple shadings. The boxes will be going with me to an elderly home where there is a kind of spring market.

Veel liefs - Lots of love

Het is een super mooie set deze online only Blij boeket. Ik maakte er gelijk drie kaartjes mee in net iets andere schakeringen van roze. Het is zo leuk om deze bloem te stempelen en vervolgens met behulp van een sjabloon in te kleuren met blending brushes. Zo eenvoudig en toch schitterend.

 I love this online only set Blij boeket. Such a cute set to stamp the flowers, using the blending brushes and the templates to color them. So easy to get a very nice result. I made three cards with different shades of pink.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 18)

Opnieuw een sketch, tja daar word ik echt geprikkeld om mee te doen, maar wat is het moeilijk. Dus ik koos ervoor rom uiteindelijk er een eigen draai aan te geven en het te zien als een band waar ik dan andere zaken rond zet. En ik heb hiervoor een set gebruikt die ik ooit kocht in de uitverkoop en nog niet had gebruikt, Immergruene Eleganz. Dus dat vraagt om een elegante kaart.

And again a sketch, oh no what do I make now. I give it my own twist and saw it as a middle path with something around it. And I used a retired set which I bought when it was on sale, the Immergruene Elegant, and the name says it all, it needed to be an elegant card.

Tulpen aquarel - Tulip aquarel

Deze keer heb ik de mixed florals genomen en deze als aquarel bewerkt. De ene met de inktense potloden, de andere met een aquarel setje. Ook hier nog veel oefening nodig, maar ik weet zeker blijven oefenen is de boodschap om steeds beter te worden.

This time I used the mixed florals to use some aquarel tips with the inktense pencils and with an aquarel box. Still a lot to practice but I know I need to be patient and I will get better.

 

Konijn aquarel - Rabbit aquarel

Ook deze lieve konijntjes kon ik niet aan weerstaan en heb ik deze keer naar aanleiding van een YouTube filmpje van Ilse Hoekstra met intense potloden gemaakt. De konijnen zijn prima gelukt met haar tips, de bloemen moet ik nog eens opnieuw proberen en zachter maken. Ook de achtergrond is nog veel oefenwerk, maar stilaan word het steeds beter.

 Also these cute rabbits I had to have and I saw a nice YouTube of Ilse Hoekstra with intense pencils and a lot of tips again. So I tried it too, the rabbits I love, but the flowers still need a bit of practice just like the background. But each time I get a bit better.

Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 17)

Nog eens monochromatic vandaag, deze keer met de retired set met elfjes en natuurlijk voorop een postkaart van Santa. Tja dat elfje is al moe van alle kaartjes te beantwoorden en te kijken wie er nice and naughty is.

And again a monochromatic one, this time with an elf on the side who is so tired of alle cards Santa got. And of course he needs to take care of who is naughty and who is nice.

Surfende meeuw - surfing seagull

Onlangs was mijn schoonbroer jarig en ja hij houdt van water en de zee, dus ik dacht ik maak er een vrolijke surfende meeuwkaart van. Ik vind hem wel grappig geworden. En jullie? Hij vond hem in elk geval leuk.

Recently my brother-in-law had his birthday and as he loves water and the sea I made him a cute card with a surfing seagull. I love it, and you? He did love it too.

Vrolijk pasen - Happy easter

 Ik wens jullie samen met dit lieve kuikentje een vrolijk paasfeest.

Stilaan nadert pasen dus dan lijkt het mij wel gepast om hier een lief kuikentje te plaatsen, ik heb dit met de lightfast potloden op crumb cake papier gekleurd. Dit nadat ik een YouTube sessie van Ilse Hoekstra had gevolgd, daar krijg je altijd super goede tips zodat het ook echt een 3D tekening wordt. Ik vind hem best wel lief.

Slowly we get to Easter so a nice little chick would be suitable now. I followed a nice YouTube of Ilse Hoekstra where I always get a lot of tips how to create depth with my lightfast pencils. So I tried it myself and I must say I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I love it.

En natuurlijk mocht een kaartje met de volledige set ornamental Pine niet ontbreken. Ik blijf hem mooi vinden, deze retired set verlaat nooit mijn huis.

And of course a card made with the complete set ornamental pine. I love him so much, this retired set will never leave my home.

Vlinders - Butterflies (hexagon fun fold)

En dan hier terug een hexagon fun Fold kaart. Deze keer heb ik iets andere vlinders genomen en deze ook van extra kleur voorzien met mijn potloden en deze lekker laten fladderen op het voorste doorzichtige paneel.

And again a hexagon fun fold card, this time with some other DSP and other butterflies which are really flying in the sky on the opaque middle panel.

Vliegende vlinder - Flying butterfly

Ik heb mij ook eens gewaagd aan de hexagonale kaarten waar je dan het gevoelt kunt creëren dat de vlinder ook echt vliegt. Ik heb hiervoor het mooie frisse DSP gebruikt en dit gecombineerd met een mooie grote vlinder van Ilse Hoekstra die ik inkleurde met mijn lightfast potloden. Ik ben heel tevreden met die vrolijke lentekaartje.

I too took a spin on the hexagon cards where you can create the view as if the butterfly is really flying. I used the cute fresh DSP and combined it with a butterfly of Ilse Hoekstra. I colored the butterfly with the lightfast pencils.

Opnieuw een paar nostalgische kaartjes voor jullie. Deze keer natuurlijk met Santa in de hoofdrol, het lijkt een kaart op een kaart, niet waar? En ook deze keer weer monochromatic.

Again some monochromatic nostalgic cards for you, this time with Santa as main figure. It looks like a postcard on a postcard, what do you think?

 

Lente - Spring

Ook deze kaart had als basis de uitdaging met lente, natuur, felle kleuren etc van Prulleke. Ik ging natuurlijk aan de slag met blenden en inkleuren met potloden, dat is zo rustgevend. En weer eentje voor mijn stapeltje met vrolijke faux step kaarten.

 And also this one had as basis spring, flowers, nature and bright colors which was a challenge of Prulleke. I used some blending and coloring with my pencils, which is so relaxing. So another cute one for my pile of faux step cards.

Vlinderuitdaging - butterfly challenge

En ja hoor nog eentje voor jullie, eentje met vier kleuren deze keer, een uitdaging ook van Prulleke, en die ik nog vergeten was hier met jullie te delen.
