Kerstvogels - Christmas birds

Onlangs kreeg ik de vraag om 70 kaarten te maken in de kleuren tempting turquoise, melon mambo en ook zilver en/of glitter. En het moest ook nog een beetje analoog zijn aan de kaart die ik hen ooit gestuurd had, tenminste van opzet. Dus het was even kijken op internet en een idee werd geboren. Het was een hele klus om 140 vogeltjes uit te stansen, zeker omdat het glitter papier van dit jaar blijkbaar niet dezelfde kleur had als vorig jaar. Maar dankzij mede demonstratrices kon ik toch alles in een kleur maken. De vogeltjes kregen met de marker een beetje kleur, er werden teksten gemaakt met de Good greetings, vooraan Merry Christmas en binnenin Happy New Year. Natuurlijk nog bijpassende enveloppen met het oudere set de Snowflake soiree die zich hier heel goed toe leent. In elk geval werden ze met heel veel plezier ontvangen, nu maar hopen dat diegene die ze met de kerst in de brievenbus vinden, ze ook super vinden. Het was een hele klus, eentje om trots op te zijn.

Recently I got the question to make 70 cards in the colours tempting turquoise, melon mambo and silver and/or glitter. It needed to be a bit similar to the one I made for them a few months ago. So I searched on internet and an idea was born. It as a lot of work to punch out 140 birds, especially as the glitterpaper of this year is darker as the one from last year. Luckily some other demonstrators  helped me to get the paper. I gave the birds some colour with the marker and the textes are from the Good greetings set, in front the Christmas text, inside the Happy New Year text. And of course I made envelops too with the snowflake soiree set. The lady was pleased to get her cards so we are now curious how the receivers will react. It was a lot of work, but I am proud of the result.

Resultaten Workshop Oostburg 22 november

De workshop in Oostburg was een succes. Vier enthousiaste dames die eerst aandachtig luisterden naar het praatje over Stampin'Up! producten en daarna kregen zij te horen wat er gemaakt zou worden: een popup kaart. Tja, dan is het aan de deelnemers, welk cardstock kiezen wij, welk stempelset. De ene had de keus snel gemaakt, de andere moest iets langer nadenken. De ene ging aan de slag met de Lovely as a tree in combinatie met de mask om gele sterretjes als achtergrond te maken, een ander koos voor groene bomen en rode sterren. Een dame had niks met kerst maar eerder met de lente dus zij maakte een vrolijke vlinderkaart in combinatie met de Serene silhouette stempelset die zij inkleurde met de markers. En tot slot koos een van de dames voor mijn nieuwste kleurencombi, namelijk het tempting turquoise en melon mambo. Een wat ongewone combi voor kerst, maar oh zo mooi. Ook was er een dochtertje van 9 jaar en met alle restjes die op tafel lagen, ging zij aan de slag en maakte een aantal speelse uiltjes.

The workshop in Oostburg was a success. Four creative ladies who listened very well to the explanation about the SU products. Then they saw the popup card we would make. So then their work started, first to decide which kind of cardstock they would use as basis and of course the stamp set that would be used. It was not easy, but they all made a good choice. One of the ladies worked with the lovely as a tree set in combination with yellow stars made with the mask hearts & stars. Another lady used green trees and red stars and one of the ladies did not really like Christmas so she made a very nice cheerful butterfly box. She combined the butterflies with the serene silhouette stamp which she coloured with the markers and the silver pen. And the fourth lady chose my newest colour combination, the melon mambo and tempting turquoise. All projects are very nice. One lady had her daughter of nine with her and that girl made very nice owls with all the left overs from the table. It was nice to work with this new group.

Workshop Pop up kaart - Pop up card

Vandaag gaat een workshop in Oostburg door. Deze keer vroeg de gastvrouw of we een popup kaart konden maken. Dus ik maakte ook een paar kerstvoorbeelden. Eentje heb ik eenvoudige kleuren smoky slate en chocolate chips en ik gebruikte de Lovely as a tree set in combinatie met het masker met de sterren die ik dus met de daubers op de achtergrond stempelde. De teksten komen uit de Good greetings set. Het tweede voorbeeld is gemaakt met de mooie bundel Festival of trees, een mooie photopolymer stempel set met bijhorende pons. Hier koos ik voor een niet traditionele kleurschema namelijk tempting turquoise en melon mambo en een beetje smoky slate. De tekst komt ook weer uit de Good Greetings set. De sneeuwsterren komen van een ouder set.

Today I will be holding a workshop in Oostburg where the hostess wanted to have popup cards. So I made some Christmas examples. One in tradional colours, chocolate chips and smoky slate and with the lovely as a tree set and the mask with the stars. The text is from the Good Greetings set. And the other one is non traditional with the colours tempting turquoise and melon mambo and the set Festival of trees, which is a combination of photopolymer stamps and a punch. The stars are from an older set.

Less is more Christmas

Deze keer laat ik jullie twee Less is more kaartjes zien terug in de kleuren tempting turquoise en melon mambo, wat voor mij toch wel echt een uitdaging was om dit te combineren maar waar ik ondertussen moet toegeven dat het een schitterende combi is. Ik laat het aan jullie over om te beslissen of jullie ze ook mooi vinden.

This time two less is more cards in the colours tempting turquoise and melon mambo. A real challenge to make cards with these colours but in the meantime I really like the combi. I do not write much this time but let you decide if you like them too.

Envelop kaarten - envelop cards

Naast de flip over kaarten maakten de dames maandag ook nog een envelop kaart als geschenksenvelop. Hierbij werd natuurlijk de envelop punch board gebruikt om het lipje te maken. De Labels love set werd gebruikt om een mooi label te maken dat als sluiting dient en de Snowflake soiree is een favoriet stempelset dat in verschillende kleuren weer net een ander resultaat geeft. Elke kaart is dus uniek. Een dame maakte met de envelop punch board een leuk klein doosje en plaatste hier een klein labeltje met een Nederlandse tekst op.

 

 

Besides the flip over cards the ladies made also an envelop card on Monday to be used as a gift envelop. They made this of course with the envelop punch board, and the Label Love set was used to make the closure. The Snowflake soiree stamping set is a favorite and can be used in different colours and each of it has its own charm. One lady made a little box with the envelop punch board and put a Dutch Sentiment on it. 

Resultaten workshop Roosendaal - results workshop Roosendaal

Gisteren een workshop gehouden in Roosendaal voor een enthousiaste groep van vier dames. Allen niet echt ervaring met stempelen doch wel met hobbyen zoals 3D kaarten maken, scrappen en zo meer. Deze keer koos bijna iedereen ervoor om te stempelen en te werken met sneeuwsterren. De ene met Snowflake Soiree, de andere met de Festive Flurry. Het zijn allemaal pareltjes geworden en iedereen ging tevreden naar huis met een leuke eigengemaakte kaart en een leuk geschenkje dat gemaakt was met de envelop punch board.

 

Yesterday I had a workshop in Roosendaal with four enthousiastic ladies, who were pretty new on stamping but used to make 3D cards or scraps. So at least they are very creative. They first chose the colour setting and then they all wanted to work with snowflakes. Some with the Snowflake Soiree set, the other with the Festive Flurry. Each of them went home with a very nice card and also a little gift which was made with the envelop punch board.

Workshop triple techniek

Vandaag een leuke workshop georganiseerd voor enthousiaste dames die de triple techniek wilden proberen met de stempels en de inkt van Stampin'Up!. Er was keus genoeg en dat zorgde er wel voor dat de dames even niet wisten wat te kiezen. Doch al snel ging iemand aan de slag met de Betsy's Blossoms set om een vrolijke rode kaart met zwart vogeltje te maken. De sneeuwsterren mochten niet ontbreken, dus ook met de Snowflake soiree ontstonden een paar prachtige creaties. Zelfs een leuk kaartje met hartjes met behulp van de Hearts a flutter set ontstond in deze techniek. En vermits het herfst is en wij allemaal de bladeren zien vallen, ging iemand aan de slag met de Gently falling set, terwijl een ander ging oefenen met de Stippled blossoms. Beide sets leveren een mooi resultaat, doch een Stamp-a-magic is onontbeerlijk om de contouren goed te krijgen. Deze twee-stap methode is heel leuk om te doen en zorgt voor een heel aparte kaart. Iedereen ging tevreden naar huis met twee mooie kaarten.

  

  

  

  

  

Today I organised a workshop to explain the Triple technique to some enthousiastic ladies. They all wanted to try it and had some difficulties to chose between all the nice stamp sets from Stampin'Up!. One person started with the Betsy's Blossoms set in deep red colour with a black bird as accent. Of course the snow flakes from the Snowflake soiree set was a favorite too. Even a nice card with hearts was made with the Hearts a flutter set. And as we are now seeing the leaves falling, an other one made a very nice autumn card with the Gently Falling set. And of course the Stippled blossoms is tempting and one needs a stamp-a-magic to make this card in a correct way. The two step method which is used for the Stippled blossoms and the Gently falling card gives your card an extra dimension. Satisfied everybody went home with two beautiful cards.

Joyful tidings

De snowflake soiree set is een prachtig set om de triple techniek mee uit te voeren. Meer dan een paar sterren en een leuke tekst uit de Christmas messages is niet nodig om een elegante kaart tevoorschijn te toveren. Een voorbeeld voor de dames die aanstaande vrijdag naar de workshop komen waar alles in het teken van de triple techniek staat.

The snowflake soiree set is a beautiful set to use for the triple technique. Just these stars together with a nice text from the Christmas messages set are the only ingredients for a special Christmas card. Again an example for the ladies who will attend the workshop this Friday where we will work on the triple technique.

Resultaten workshop 25 oktober - results workshop 25 october

De workshop bestond uit drie deelnemers, waarvan twee dames voor eenzelfde type kaart  in rood/groene tinten met Rudolph kozen en een dame koos de blauw/grijze tinten en werkte met de Snowflake Soiree stempelset in combinatie met de Festive flurry set. Rudolph is samengesteld met de uilenpons en voor het speelse effect werden er wiebeloogjes gebruikt. Binnenin hebben de dames de kerstman gestempeld uit de set Santa's list. Iedereen heeft er weer van genoten en kijkt uit naar een volgende workshop.

Three ladies attended the workshop and two of them chose the red/green colours and made identical cards with Rudolph as centerpiece. Rudolph is build up with the owl punch and got some funny moving eyes. Inside the ladies stamped Santa. The other lady chose blue/grey colours and worked with the Snowflake soiree and Festive flurry stamps. Everybody was very satisfied with the result and went home with a beautiful card aswell as looking forward to another workshop.

Kerst: triple techniek - Christmas Triple technique

Een mengeling van een oud (Snowflake soiree - sneeuwsterren) en een nieuw stempelset (Christmas messages) en dit in combinatie met de triple techniek, heerlijk om te doen en het geeft een apart effect. Ik koos voor Smoky slate en Island indigo kleuren, zodat er een zachte kaart is ontstaan.

I used a mixture of an old (Snowflake soiree) and a new stamp set (Christmas messages) in combination with the Triple technique which I really love. I chose the colours Smoky slate and Island indigo and created a soft Christmas card.
