Winter wishes

Welke wensen heb jij voor de winter? Misschien lekker kunnen skiën of met de slee buiten in de sneeuw? Of lekker binnen bij de kerstboom? Ik heb met dit in het achterhoofd deze kaart gemaakt. Het idee kwam echter van mijn echtgenoot.. Ik had de set Winter wishes even van Claudia geleend en wist niet zo goed wat ermee te doen. Mijn echtgenoot wist het wel, een soort plankenstructuur creëren alsof je een houten hutje hebt, daarop de slee en de skies en achter het venster dan een kerstboom. Dat gaf mij de nodige aanzet om de kaart te maken, ik voegde nog wat takjes bovenaan toe en het werd uiteindelijk een heel leuk kaartje. Een set dus om vooral out of the box te denken.

Which wishes do you have for this winter? Perhaps skiing or going out with the sleigh? Or being inside around the Christmas tree? With this in my mind I made the card. I borrowed the set Winter wishes from my friend Claudia but could not decide what to make with it. But my husband had an idea, I should build up a kind of wooden cabin with the sleigh and skis outside and behind the window a Christmas tree. With this information I started and made this Christmas card with some green on the top too. I love it.

Blauwe mannenkaart - blue men card (Claudia)

Vandaag laat Claudia jullie een schitterende mannenkaart zien. Zij koos voor een prachtige blauwe kleur en liet dit overal terugkomen. Zij gebruikte de Guy greetings waar een ouderwetse auto onderdeel van uitmaakt en natuurlijk de Hardwood om de achtergrond te maken. Het lintje geeft bovendien nog eens de finishing touch.

Today Claudia shows you a very nice men card. She chose a beautiful blue colour and let it return in every element. She used the old car from the Guy greetings set and the Hardwood to create the background. The ribbon gives the card the finishing touch.

Happy Birthday (Marianne)

De zomervakantie loopt naar zijn einde dus dat betekent ook voor Marianne terug tijd om te hobbyen. Vandaag laat zij jullie een schitterende kaart zien die zij maakte met de Hardwood en de Awesomely artistic stempel sets. De kleurencombinatie is prachtig.

The summer vacation is over so it means time again for Marianne to do some crafting. Today she shows you a very nice card with the Hardwood and Awesomely artistic stamp set. The colour combi is amazing.

Liefdesvogeltjes - love birds

Vandaag is het zowel voor Claudia als mij een heel aparte dag. Het is voor ons beide onze huwelijksverjaardag, er zit alleen een paar jaartjes verschil tussen. Dus wat past er beter bij zo'n dag dan een paar leuke liefdesvogeltjes. Deze doosjes heeft Claudia met de prachtige curvy keepsake box stans gemaakt, de houtnerven natuurlijk met de mooie Hardwood stempel gemaakt en oh wat zijn de vogeltjes leuk.

Today is a special day for Claudia and me. We both have our wedding anniversary, with a couple of years different however. So on this special day some love birds are nice. Claudia made this with the curvy keepsake box and the wood structure is made with the Hardwood stamp and I love the little birds on it.

Hardwood meets Watercolor wings

Onlangs had ik niet één geschenkenvelop nodig, maar twee en vermits beide voor dezelfde dame waren, moest ik wel even vindingrijk zijn. Gelukkig waren net de nieuwe stempels binnengekomen en kon ik een achtergrond maken met de Hardwood stempel en daar op een mooie grote vlinder uit de Watercolor wings set. De tekst is uit mijn privé collectie van Nederlandse teksten en blijf ik ideaal vinden om te combineren. Een stukje lint in een groene tint om weer net nog een extra accent te hebben en een vrolijke envelop was geboren.

Recently I needed a gift envelop, not one but two and both for the same lady so I had to make two different ones. Luckily the newest stamps were there. I chose the Hardwood to make the background and the beautiful big butterfly from the Watercolor wings set. The text is from my other collection of dutch textes I love to use. A piece of green ribbon to have another colour accents and another gift envelop was made.

Hekje - Fence

Natuurlijk zijn er naast nieuwe sets ook oudere sets mee gegaan naar de nieuwe catalogus. En die mogen we echt niet vergeten. Daarom toon ik jullie vandaag een kaartje gemaakt met de Hardwood stempel die ik natuurlijk in stukjes heb geknipt om er een hekje van te maken. Vervolgens heb ik takjes geponst met de vogelpons en een paar bloemetjes erbij geplaatst met binnenin een hartje gemaakt met de candy dots. De achtergrond heb ik lichtjes gesponst zodat je een lucht- en graseffect krijgt.

Of course some older sets are kept in the new catalogue and we should not forget them either. So today I show you a card I made with a few older things. The Hardwood stamp was used to make the fence, the bird punch to make the leaves and of course the petite petals to make the flowers and as their heart I used some candy dots. I sponged the background to make the sky and the green background. Hope you like it.

Hekje - fence (Desirée)

Vandaag terug een kaartje van mijn downline Desirée. Zij koos deze keer de Hardwood stempel die zij vervolgens in stukjes heeft gesneden om er een waar hekwerkje van te maken. Een paar bloemen gemaakt met de Flowershop en Petite petals set maken het een vrolijk kaartje. De takjes komen van de vogelpons. Eenvoud siert, en dat bewijst zij ons hier.

Today again a card from my downline Desirée. This time she worked with the Hardwood stamp which she cut later on to make the fence. She put some nice flowers on top of it with the Flowershop and petite petals set. The leaves are made with the bird punch. Really simple, but so nice.

Zeekaart - Sea card

Deze schitterende kaart met zee thema is gemaakt door Claudia, de gastvrouw van de workshop afgelopen weekend. Wat heeft zij er een plaatje van gemaakt. Zij heeft de diertjes wonderbaarlijk mooi ingekleurd. Het lijkt net echt. Zij gebruikte op een heel goede manier de set By the tide en By the seashore en maakte hier een stoere mannenkaart van. De achtergrond is natuurlijk gemaakt met de Hardwood stempel. Deze kaart spreekt voor zich, daar zijn veel woorden overbodig.

This amazing card with sea theme is made by Claudia, the hostess of the workshop last Saturday. She really did a good job. She coloured the animals very well. It looks so real. She combined the set By the tide and By the seashore and made a very cool man card. The background is made with the Hardwood stamp. The card speaks for itself, not much words needed.

Popup kaart zee - Popup card Sea

Deze keer een popup kaart met een zeethema waar de boot centraal staat, maar waar ik het niet kon laten om de grote stempel van Hardwood ook weer even boven water te halen en deze aan de zijkanten te verwerken van deze kaart. Deze kaart kan plat verstuurd worden, doch uitgestald, is hij natuurlijk het mooist. Ik gebruikte crumb cake, real red en pacific point als kleuren en natuurlijk ook een beetje de sponstechniek gebruikt voor de lucht.

This time I made a popup card with a sea theme where the boat is put in the middle but I could not resist on using the Hardwood stamp again. The card can be send in an envelop but of course when you present it, it is much nicer. I used the colours real red, pacific point and crumb cake and a bit of sponging for the air.

Merry Christmas - Happy New Year

Met deze kaart wil ik jullie allemaal een vrolijk kerstfeest en een heel gelukkig nieuwjaar toewensen. Het is een kaart die ik maakte als voorbeeld voor een workshop in november en waarbij tal van producten van SU werden gebruikt. Ik koos voor een kamerschermkaart waarbij dus voor de pootjes de decorative label pons werd gebruikt. Met de decorative dots embossingfolder maakte ik de sneeuwvlokachtergrond. En met de Hardwood vormde ik de houten paneeltjes. De wondrous wreath werd vervolgens gebruikt om de guirlande op te bouwen en de teksten komen uit de Good greetings set. Een paar lieve vogeltjes maakte ik met de bird builder pons. Ik ben best trots op deze kaart en toon ze hier met veel plezier eerst als geheel en vervolgens wat details.

With this screencard I want to wish you all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I made this card as an example for a workshop in November and I used a lot of SU products to show how they can be used I used the decorative label punch for the feet of the screen, the decorative dots embossing folder to make the snowflake background. And the hardwood stamp was used to make the wooden fence and on that fence I put a garland which is made with the wondrous wreath set. The textes come from the Good greeting set and of course a couple of birds could nog be missing so I used the bird builder for that. I love this type of card and I am really happy with the result of it.

Kerstkrans - Christmas wreath

Ja, het is nog vroeg, maar je kan nooit te vroeg beginnen met kerstvoorbereidingen. Dus ik heb nog een kerstkaartje voor jullie. Deze keer eentje met de Wondrous wreath stempel- en stansenset. Voor de achtergrond gebruikte ik chocolate chip inkt en de Hardwood stempel. Zo creëerde ik een soort deur waar de kerstkrans aan gehangen kon worden. De tekst komt uit de Nederlandse tekstenstempels. 

I know it is still early for Christmas, but on the other hand one can never start too early. So I made another Christmas card for you. This time I show you the Wondrous wreath stamp and die set. The background is made with the Hardwood stamp to create a kind of door. The text comes from the Dutch sentiments set.

Kick up your heels

Vermits ik onlangs de vraag kreeg om een country kaart te  maken, kwam ik op het idee om het set Bootiful occasions te gebruiken, dat leent zich hier echt voor vermits er een laars bij is die mij doet denken aan country muziek en dansen. Deze keer heb ik op de achtergrond de Hardwood stempel ook gebruikt en daarop de tekst en de laars geplaatst natuurlijk weer eerst gemat in net een iets donkere bruine tint. En aan een kleine splitpen heb ik dan een soort van lasso gehangen. 

As I got the question to make a country card a while ago, I got the idea to use the Bootiful occasions set as there is one boot on it which reminds me of country music and its danses. This time I used the Hardwood stamp as background and the text and boot I put on the same coloured paper but of course with a darker brown underneath it. A little splitpen is used to hold up the lasso.

Bureaudoosje - Desk box

Matty neemt vaak deel aan swaps en deze keer was de uitdaging om een bureaudoosje te maken met minimaal vier bureau accessoires. Zij maakte een schitterende verpakking met kraft cardstock en daarop natural ivory waar zij met baked brown sugar de planken op stempelde. Binnenin bevat het een notitieblokje, een pennetje, en in de rode doosjes bevinden zich paperclips en een mini plakbandhouder met een rolletje washitape en onderaan waar de rode plankjes zich bevinden, is een vakje voorzien om papiertjes in te bewaren. Matty gebruikte dus de Hardwood stempel, de Petite petals pons voor de kleine bloemetjes, een stukje tule als afsluiting met daaraan een label dat ze uitstanste met de Chalk talk dies en daarop heeft ze een rondje van de Fitting Occasion gekleefd. Een heel geslaagd geheel en waar eens een totaal ander project.

 

Matty takes part in different swaps once and awhile and this time they had to swap a desk box with four desk things in it. She chose a little pen, a little notebook and in the little red boxes she put paperclips and a mini washi tape holder. She used Kraft cardstock and natural ivory. On the latter she stamped with the Hardwood stamp in baked brown sugar, so it looks like a box of wood. Behind the red wood one can put little leaflets one wants to keep. She used the petite petals for the little red flowers. To tie everything together she used a piece of tule and a tag made with the chalk talk dies and the Fitting Occassion stamp set. A very nice big project.

Popup kaart zee thema - Popup card sea theme

De popup kaarten zijn een hit binnen de hobbywereld en je ziet ze steeds weer met diverse thema's. Deze keer heb ik gekozen voor een zee thema met een tikkeltje romantiek zodat het ook voor een huwelijk gebruikt kan worden. Ik heb gewerkt in kraft en donker bruin en de figuurtjes uit een glimmend papier gestanst en voorzien van wat distress inkt van Tim Holtz. De zeemeeuwen vliegen hoog in de lucht op een achtergrond die ik emboste met wat wolkjes. De andere vlakken zijn met bolletjes geëmbost en links en rechts staat een zwaan, teken van liefde. En vermits het koppel vaart, leek me een schip in het midden en een anker ideaal. Hopelijk kunnen zij met dit bootje hun geluk dan tegemoet varen. Voor deze kaart heb ik het cardstock van SU en de stempel Hardwood hgebruikt, de twee embossing mallen namelijk de wolken en de stippeltjes zijn ook van SU.

Popup cards are really hot in the crafting world. And I love them too and always try to make a different one. This time I took a sea theme. I worked in brown colours and used a lot of dies. With left and right swans as symbole of love. Ant the sea birds are high in the sky and the background is embossed with clouds. The other bird is sitting on some wood and the anchor was needed too. I hope this is a good wedding card for a couple who is always on a boat and that this card may bring them happiness in the future.

Workshop Minibox in Philippine

Gisteren had ik een workshop in Philippine. Matty had voor een heerlijke cake gezorgd en een kleine verrassing voor Natacha en mij. Na de keuze voor het basis cardstock, gingen wij alle drie aan de slag en maakten een doosje. Matty koos voor bruine tinten in combinatie met de Hardwood stempel om de houtnerven mooi tot zijn recht te laten komen, dit zowel op het doosje als op de bloemen op het doosje. Natacha koos voor heel felle en toch wel heel mooie kleuren en maakte naast het doosje en twee minikaartjes ook nog een geschenkslabeltje. Ikzelf koos voor het DSP van Fresh Prints an deze keer voor de fijne bloemtjes. Vermits de kaartjes te eenvoudig waren, heb ik ze opgevrolijkt met een stukje touw en een labeltje, de ene keer uit het set Pretty Petites met de tekst Thank you en het andere met het lieveheersbeestje komt uit de Fitting occassions set. Op naar de volgende minidoosjes workshop eind april.

 

 

Yesterday I did a workshop in Philippine. Matty made a very good cake and a little surprise for us. After taking coffee Natacha, Matty and myself decided which cardstock would be the base for our box. Matty chose crumb cake and worked with the Stamp Hardwood to create the wooden structure, she even used it on the flowers to get it in the same trend. The little dots fit well too. Natacha chose bright colours and worked with the butterflies and made a simple label too for a gift. As we were only three, I could make a box and two little cards too. I used the Fresh Prints DSP, this time the tiny flowers and as I found the cards a bit plain I used some cotton from the SAB and two tiny labels. One of the labels if from the set Pretty petites saying thank you, the other one is from A Fitting Occassion set with a bug in it. All projects are very colourful and very nice to see. We had an enjoyable morning and I am already looking forward to the workshop at the end of April.

Mannenkaart - men card

Morgen is mijn vader jarig en hij was vroeger schrijnwerker dus een hamer, zaag, schroevendraaier en tang waren zijn dagelijkse ingrediënten om mee te werken. Hij is nu met pensioen doch toen ik deze leuke kleine uitgestanste figuurtjes ontving, kon ik het niet laten om hier een kaart voor hem mee te maken. Ik gebruike natural ivory cardstock waar ik met crumb cake inkt de planken op stempelde. De Hardwood stempel is echt ideaal hiervoor. Met chocolate chips inkt heb ik de handvaten voorzichtig gesponst zodat het allemaal wat echter eruit zou zien. Ik ben benieuwd wat hij ervan vindt.

Tomorrow is my fathers birthday, he used to be a carpenter and of course the tools you see here were the ones he used daily. He is now retired but when a friend have me these little figures I could not resist in using them on a card. I used crumb cake cardstock and natural ivory where I stamped the Hardwood stamp on it with crumb cake. With chocolate chips I sponged carefully the handles so it looks more realistic. I am curious what he thinks of it.

Condoleance

Condoleance kaarten maken wij geen van allen graag, doch af en toe hebben wij ze toch nodig hé. Dus naar analogie van mijn verjaardagskaart een tijdje terug maakte ik nu een condoleance kaart in dezelfde stijl met de grote stempel Hardwood en de kleine bloemetjes (Petite Petals). Beide uit de voorjaarscatalogus en heel veelzijdig. De tekst komt ook nu weer uit de Simply Sketched hostess set en ik gebruikte de crumb cake inkt op glanzend wit cardstock.

Condoleance cards are not really our favorites to make but once and awhile we need them. So I took the same ingredients as the birthday card I made a few weeks ago. So I worked with crumb cake ink on shiny white cardstock, and used the same ink and paper to make the little flowers where I used the Petite Petals stamp set, I used the Simply Sketched stamp for the text and put everything on a background where I first used the Hardwood stamp, which is quite big.

Bloemenverjaardag - flower birthday

Ondertussen heb ik mijn bestelling van de nieuwe voorjaarscatalogus binnen. Oh wat zitten daar mooie spullen bij zoals onder andere een heel grote stempel met houten planken (Hardwood) en een leuke combinatie set van kleine bloemetjes (Petite Petals) en een pons. Ik kon het dus niet laten om deze ochtend op een glanzend wit papier te stempelen met Crumb cake en een verjaardagskaart hiermee te maken. De tekst komt uit een hostess set Simply Sketched, alleen te verkrijgen wanneer je een workshop bij jou thuis laat door gaan en je voor minimaal 200 euro aan bestellingen verzamelt. De pareltjes zijn van een ander merk. De tekst heb ik met de Label Collection stansen uitgesneden.

Meanwhile I have received my first order from the new Spring catalogue. There are a lot of nice things in it. Today I played with the big stamp Hardwood and the Petite Petals which is a combi set with stamps and a punch. I used crumb cake ink on a shiny white cardstock. The text is from Simply Sketched, a hostess set and I used the Label collection dies to cut it out.
