Opruimen ... cleaning up

Af en toe is het nodig om eens op te ruimen en dan kom je wel eens oudere pakketjes tegen die nooit afgewerkt zijn. Dan kan je maar één ding doen, snel de kaartpakketjes omtoveren in afgewerkte kaartjes. Een paar bloemen uit de flowershop erop, wat glans met de glossy accents in het hartje van de bloemen en dan de tekst uit de Celebrate today erbij. De vorm is op zich al heel apart.

Once and awhile it is necessary to clean up and you find older cardkits which never got finished. So I decided to finish them and added some flowers from the flowershop, a bit of glaze in the hearts of it and a text from the celebrate today set. The card itself has a different form and so it does not need that much to have a special card.

Hoera een baby - Hurray a baby

De nieuwste stempelset Sprinkles of Life geeft ons in eerste instantie ijsjes, een boom met bladeren, maar ook wolkjes en dat gaf mij het idee om het te combineren met de Celebrate today set waar een mooie ballon de lucht in gaat. De ballon is gemaakt van cardboard en met speciale techniek ingekleurd en daarna nog wat extra accenten erop met de Perpetual Birthday calendar set. Tja... welke gelegenheid zouden we dit eens kunnen voor gebruiken? Opeens kwam bij mij het idee ... een geboortekaartje lijkt me heel toepasselijk dus snel het tekstje erbij en weer een kaartje voor de voorraad.

The newest stamp set Sprinkles of Life gives us cupcakes, a tree with branches but also clouds so I got the idea to combine this with the Celebrate today set to have a nice balloon up in the sky. I made the balloon with cardboard and used a special colouring technique with water and added some accents with the Perpetual birthday calendar. I then had to think of the occassion, but soon the idea came it should be a baby card, so I added a sentiment and a new card was added to my pile of cards.

Deze keer een babykaartje gemaakt met de scalloped tag topper punch. Het blijft toch een beetje mijn favoriet. Ik heb met blauwe tinten gewerkt en de sterren komen uit de Perpetual Birthday calendar set. Alle stempels blijven in het nieuwe boek, dus wij kunnen nog langer hiermee spelen.

This time a baby card with the scalloped tag topper punch. It stays my favorite. I worked with blue colours and the stars are from the perpetual birthday calendar set. All those stamps stay so we can still make a lot of examples with it.

Love Life

Laat het zonnetje schijnen, vlieg de zon tegemoet en hou van het leven. Dit is wat dit kaartje jullie allemaal wil zeggen. Geniet van elke dag. Ik gebruikte hiervoor dus een SAB set, de celebrate today en een masker uit het pakket Hooray it's your day.

Su-per-Challenge 80 - Case it

Bij de Su-per-challenges blog zag ik een leuke challenge voorbij komen. Een kaart casen. Je mocht kiezen om het kleurenschema, of layout of de embellishments of de stempels te gebruiken. Prima, ik wou nog een babykaart maken als vouwkaart dus waarom zou ik dat niet gaan combineren met de stempelset Zoo babies en de tinten roze gebruiken. Zo gedacht, zo gedaan. Ik ging aan de slag en dit is het resultaat. De voorkant heb ik eenvoudig gehouden, hiervoor heb ik de celebrate today set gebruikt. Voor de beschrijving van hoe je een dergelijke kaart opbouwt, verwijs ik naar het filmpje van Bastelhexen.

At the Su-per-challenges blog I saw a nice challenge, casing of a card.  One could work with the layout, the colours, the embellishments or the stamps and make your own project. As I wanted to make a baby example with the folded card technique I found at Bastelhexen I decided to work with the zoo babies and of course pink colours. The outside is kept simple. I worked with the celebrate today set.

Nog even een ballonkaartje, deze keer uitgewerkt als trappenkaart. De zon heb ik gemaakt door een rondje te gebruiken en zo het papier te bedekken, vervolgens met een stukje karton de zonnestralen gesponst. Een eenzame ballon die de zon tegemoet vliegt. Een kaartje om iemands dag op te fleuren, iemand die een lange weg naar goede gezondheid te gaan heeft. De vlaggetjes komen ook uit het zelfde set. De tekst en de vogels zijn van een ander merk.

Another balloon card, this time as step card. The sun is made with e circle to protect the paper, then with a piece of cardstock I sponged the sunshine. A single balloon flying to the sun, enjoying the day, it was a card for someone who has a long way to go to be healthy again. The text and the birds are from another brand.

Ballonnen - Balloons

Een paar jaar terug waren wij in Ottowa en zagen wij ook het ballonfestival, was heel apart al die ballonnen over de stad te zien vliegen, heel vroeg 's ochtends. Of ik hierdoor geïnspireerd was of niet, in elk geval de kamerschermkaarten blijf ik leuk vinden en deze keer heb ik met de ballonnen gewerkt. Eentje werd verhoogd opgekleefd, de andere hebben ik met de masking techniek achter elkaar gestempeld. Je ziet het niet goed doch de lucht is lichtjes blauw gesponst. 

A few years ago we were in Ottowa and saw the balloons festival, it was amazing to see all those balloons in the sky over the city on the early morning. I do not know if that inspired me but I love the screen cards and thought of making one with the balloons. One of them is put on the card with dimensionals and the other ones are behind each other with the masking technique. Not really visible but a bit of blue is sponged on the air.
