Neverending flowers and birds

Onlangs heb ik een vriendin getoond hoe zij een neverending kaart kon maken, terwijl zij aan de slag ging, startte ik ook met mijn kaart alleen deze kwam niet ten einde. Vandaag vond ik de tijd om hem af te werken en dat met sets die allemaal nog een jaartje langer bij ons blijven. Twee vliegen in een klap namelijk gelijk een mooi voorbeeldje voor de open dag, want ja hoor dames, hij komt er weer de nieuwe catalogus en de gezellige open dag. Hou de blog in de gaten. Ik koos voor de mooie set met de vogels Best Birds en heb deze dus vooraan op de kaart geplaatst en vervolgens de kleinere vogeltjes ook binnenin. Binnenin ging ik dan aan de slag met Hopeful thoughts set, een fijn bloemetje dat mijn hart blijft vertederen. En op de laatste draai, daar gebruikte ik de Wild about flowers voor, ook een set dat ik nog steeds heel veelzijdig vind. Benieuwd of jullie deze kaart ook weer leuk vinden.

Recently I showed a friend how to make a neverending card and I started mine too but I never ended it so today I did it and chose four sets which will last for another year. On the front we have the Best bird set which is lovely and has matching dies, the little birds I used then on the first turn too to put them on the branches of the Hopeful thought flowers. I love that set because it is so delicate, the second turn I worked with that set too and the last turn I used the Wild about flowers and as I had some white I used a die from the Dragonfly dreams set, the little bugs fits well here. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Now, let's scroll down to see what I've been making. I made two cards with the set Sitting here in combination with the set Wild about flowers and Sheltering tree. One card is a simple one, where I just combined the different elements to create a nice scene. The second one is a step card which I adore as it gives you more depth in your card. I used the newest colours Peekaboo peach and Emerald envy. Love them both. Hope you do too.

Koeien - cows

Eens een ander thema, ik had koeien nodig en helaas Stampin'Up! heeft ze niet. Maar gelukkig had ik wel stansen van een ander merk en ik wist gelijk hoe ik het zou afmaken, de sheltering tree set en de wild about flowers voor de mosjes, waren ideaal om dit tafereeltje op te bouwen. Nu maar hopen dat de boer voor wie de verjaardagskaart is, het ook een mooi geheel vindt. Het is steeds weer een uitdaging om iets toepasselijks te vinden. Ik ben met meer projecten bezig, maar nog even geduld, die zien jullie volgende week nadat mijn verjaardag is geweest.

Another theme this time, cows, not from Stampin'Up! but I needed them for a farmer's birthday so I used some dies from another brand. But I knew immediately that I would do a scene with the sheltering tree and the wild about flowers for the grasses. I am curious how he will find this scene. It is always a challenge to find something suitable. I am also working on other projects but you will see those after my birthday next week.

Popup herfst - Popup autumn

Alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik een popup kaart maakte, deze keer koos ik voor een herfst variant. Immers eind deze maand organiseren Claudia en ikzelf een workshop voor alle kennissen, vrienden en familie van de fanfare waar Claudia in speelt. Eens een creatieve avond voor al deze mensen. Wij wilden natuurlijk een speciale kaart maken. Dus ons oog viel op de popup kaart. Een aantal voorbeelden moesten dus gemaakt worden. Vandaag show ik jullie de herfst creatie die ik maakte met de schitterende bomen uit de Wonderland set, de dieren uit de Thankful forest friends. Het mos komt uit een bloemen set. Heb jij ook interesse om deze kaart eens te maken, stuur mij een berichtje. 

End of this month together with Claudia I organise a big workshop for the fanfare she is playing in. This time we want to do something creative with the people there. We want to teach them to make a special card, so we thought of the popup box. So examples needed to be made. You will see more of them this month, this is an autumn version made with the trees from Wonderland, the animals from Thankful forest friends and the moss is from a flower set. Curious what you think of it.

Herfstlandschap - autumn scenery

De langwerpige doosjes van Stampin'up! zijn ideale doosjes om iemand kado te doen, bijvoorbeeld een volledig pakje Pims koekjes past hierin. Natuurlijk ga je het eerst mooi aankleden naar eigen smaak en vooral afgestemd op het seizoen. Deze keer koos ik voor een herfsttafereeltje. Ik werkte daarvoor met de Thankful forest friends waar het schattige haasje en vosje toe behoren. De moshoopjes onderaan maakte ik met de bloemen uit Wild about flowers en de takjes bovenaan komen uit de Wonderland set. Op de ene zijde dus het tafereeltje op de andere zijde plaatste ik woorden van dank voor de gastvrouwen van afgelopen weekend.

The long boxes from Stampin'up! are suitable for little gifts, even a whole package of cookies can get into it. Of course you need to transform it first with some stamps you chose. I looked at the season and worked with Thankful forest friends to stamp the fox and rabbit. And then I used the Wild about flowers for the bottom and the top is coming from the Wonderland set. On one side I made a scene, the other side I put on some words of thanks for the hostesses last weekend.

Event momentje voor jezelf - Event moment for yourself

Vandaag is er een PRH evenement "Leef aanstekelijk". Hier presenteren Claudia en ikzelf ons ook, wij willen met de mensen die kennis willen maken met Stampin'Up! hen een momentje voor henzelf gunnen. Hen even een uurtje laten zitten en gezellig een eenvoudig kaartje maken. Wij hopen op een goede opkomst.

Today there is a PRH event "Live contagious". Claudia and I will be there too and let people get acquainted with Stampin'Up! in giving them a moment for themselves. Just sitting with us during an hour and making a simple card. We hope a lot of people will come.

Aparte vouwkaart - special fold card

Deze keer heb ik mij gewaagd aan een aparte kaart die ik op pinterest vond. Een heel apart gevouwen kaart. Het vouwwerk viel op zich wel mee, en toen begon het denkproces van wat ga ik er nu op stempelen. Uiteindelijk heb ik er een vrolijk geheel met bloemen en een paar vlinders van gemaakt. De Wild about flowers is zo leuk om mee te werken, het lijken net fijne anjers, dus wie wil die niet als verjaardagskaart ontvangen? De vlinder voorop komt uit de papillon potpourri en de vlinder binnenin komt uit de Best thoughts hostess set waar ik natuurlijk eentje gespiegeld heb.

This time I tried a special fold card I saw on pinterest awhile ago. The folding was not that hard to do but then I had to think about what to stamp on it. I used again my favorite set now to be, the Wild about flowers so I created a garden of flowers with some butterflies. The one on the outside comes from the papillon potpourri set, the one inside comes from the Best thoughts hostess set which I mirrored once too.

Kwallen - Jellyfish

Ja, voor sommigen misschien niet zo leuk om tegen te komen deze kwallen, maar voor iemand die van de zee houdt, heeft het volgens mij toch wel zijn charme. En ze lenen zich perfect voor het maken van een kaart met de triple techniek. Een nieuwe datum voor deze techniek is te vinden in de agenda.

Yes, I know some of you do not like jellyfish but people who love the sea will also love those animals. And they are very suitable for making cards with the triple technique.

Klavertje vier - four-leaf clover

Gisteren zagen jullie reeds een kaart met de mooie vintage bladeren van SU. Vandaag laat ik jullie zien dat je met die bladeren ook nog iets anders kan doen, een klavertje vier maken bijvoorbeeld. Misschien is het op de foto niet zo goed te zien, maar de blaadjes glinsteren heel mooi doordat ik ze na het stempelen van embossing poeder heb voorzien waardoor er een glanslaagje over komt te liggen. Vermits ik op dat moment niet het juiste gepaste groene papier erbij had, heb ik dat zelf gemaakt door wit papier te bestempelen met de groene inkt. Dus je hoeft niet altijd alle papier in huis te hebben om toch de juiste kleuren bij elkaar te combineren.

Yesterday I showed you a card with the beautiful vintage leaves from SU. Today I show you that you can make more with it, why not make a four-leaf clover with it? And on the picture it is not that visible but I added some embossing powder to the leaves so it gets shiny. And as I did not have the right green paper I made it myself by stamping with the green ink on white paper. In that way you can always make the paper you need.

Vallende bladeren - falling leaves

Het lijkt wel of we vorige week afscheid hebben genomen van de zomer, wat ging de wind te keer, de bladeren lagen overal en deze gaven mij de inspiratie om in het weekend deze kaart te maken. Het was er immers het juiste weer voor hé. Ik speelde met de vintage leaves van SU en liet de blaadjes willekeurig over de randen heen vallen en vermits ik de triple techniek ook nog steeds een mooie manier vindt om kaartjes te maken, heb ik dit met deze bladeren set gecombineerd. Kijk op de agenda voor de datum waarop jij ook deze techniek kan leren.

It looked like we said goodbye to the summer last week, the wind was blowing, the leaves were falling and every where. It gave me inspiration to make this card during the weekend. I played with the vintage leaves and let them fall over the edges and combined it with the triple technique, which I still find very nice for such type of cards.

Eerste workshop koffie en kaart - first workshop coffee and card

Gisteren iets nieuws geprobeerd namelijk een workshop Koffie en Kaart. Een afgeslankte vorm van een andere workshop, dus met beperkte keuze aan cardstock, kleurtjes en stempelsets. De bedoeling was om een kaart te maken in een uurtje tijd en ook nog van een bakje koffie te kunnen genieten in dat uurtje. En het is de dames perfect gelukt. Ze hebben schitterende kaarten gemaakt. Ik had een aantal voorbeelden met de Sheltering tree en de Wild about flowers gemaakt zodat ze eventueel een idee hadden welke richting ze uit konden gaan. 

Dit zijn dan de resultaten van de deelnemende dames, echt plaatjes dames. Het was een heel gezellig uurtje, met zelfs voldoende tijd om te keuvelen en tips met elkaar te delen.

Yesterday I tried a new formule for a workshop coffee and card instead of coffee and pie. I put out just a limited choice of cardstock, ink and stamps. I had made some examples with the sheltering tree and Wild about flowers set and the ladies should work on a card within an hour and even get time for a cup of coffee. And we succeeded, they made fabulous cards and even had time to share tips and drink coffee. It was a nice hour with very good results.

Spelende vlinders - playing butterflies

Dartelende vlinders ... ja dat zie je vaker in de zomerse maanden ... Dus met dit in mijn achterhoofd heb ik dit eenvoudig kaartje gemaakt met de mooie nieuwe set Wild about flowers natuurlijk in Cucumber crush en Watermelon Wonder. Een paar kleine blauwe vlindertjes ... genieten dus.

Playing butterflies ... things we see during the summer months... so with this in my backhead I made this simple card with the newest set Wild about flowers of course in the colours Cucumber crush and Watermelon Wonder. A few little blue butterflies ... just to enjoy it.

Groot en klein - big and small

De titel is even verwarrend ... want het gaat toch maar om één kaartje en geen groot en klein formaat. Nee, dat klopt, ik bedoel hier ook de grote en de kleine vlinder mee, wel beide uit hetzelfde set hoor en ze blijven leuk om mee te spelen, zeker boven een paar mooie veldbloemetjes in de nieuwste felle kleurtjes.

The title may be a bit confusing, I do not show you a big and small card but I show you the big and smallest butterfly from the nice Papillon set. They still are adorable and very cute to use in combination with the field flowers which I stamped in bright colours.

Felle kleurtjes ... bright colours

Eenvoud siert, tenminste dat is mijn stijl en dat weten jullie. Ik heb de veldbloemen nogmaals gemaakt deze keer in de mooie felle kleurtjes watermelon en cucumber green. En als je goed kijkt zie je ook kleine moshoopjes onderaan de kaart in mint macaron.

Simplicity is lovely, at least you all know that is my style. I made the field flowers again this time however in brighter colours in the watermelon wonder and cucumber green. And look closely you will see the little green on the bottom in mint macaron.

May the best ...

De tekst horend bij het stempelset Wild about flowers is echt heel mooi, het mooiste wat je iemand kan toewensen voor een verjaardag. Ik heb deze kaart uitgewerkt in twee varianten namelijk de ene keer met hello honey bloemen en de tekst in tangelo twist en de volgende kaart net omgekeerd. De takjes zijn met mossy green gemaakt. Ik vind dit echt een super set en zal er zeker meer mee maken.

The text that belongs to the set Wild about flowers is really beautiful, the most nicest thing you can wish for somebodies birthday. I worked the card once with the hello honey flowers and the text in tangelo twist and once the other way around. I love both, and the leaves are in mossy green.

Veldbloemen ... Fieldflowers

Onlangs kreeg ik de nieuwe spullen geleverd, ja wat doe je dan ... tussen alle huishoudelijke bezigheden door ga je toch even aan de slag met de nieuwste stempels. Deze keer de Wild about flowers waar je schitterende veldbloemen mee kan stempelen en doordat het photopolymer stempels zijn, zie je perfect waar je de bloemen moet plaatsen. Vermits het nog iets miste in het bovenste gedeelte, besloot ik een mooie vlinder uit de Watercolor wings hieraan toe te voegen. Een vlinder die je ook weer met photopolymer stempels op een eenvoudige manier samenstelt. Ik koos voor tempting turquoise en pacific blue. De bloemen natuurlijk in de mooie felle nieuwe kleurtjes.

Recently I received the newest stuff from SU ... and of course I could not resist in playing with it in between the household things I needed to finish. I used the Wild about flowers where you can stamp very easily a bunch of field flowers as they are from photopolymer so it is easy to see how to build it up. As it missed something, I decided to add a new butterfly from the Watercolor wings, also from photopolymer so again easy to build it up. I chose tempting turquoise and pacific blue here and for the flowers of course the newest colours.
