Kleurenkaartenteam 2019 : 5 de schakel : Fel geel en kobaltblauw

Het kleurenkaartenteam heeft deze keer weer een leuke uitdaging, maak een kaart in fel geel en kobaltblauw. Toen CreaNancy mij de link doorstuurde, ging ik gelijk aan de slag. Ik wou al langer iets nieuws proberen namelijk werken met elastiekjes rond een clear blok en daarmee stempelen. Ik sponste eerst een stukje in het mooie Pineapple punch geel en vervolgens stempelen in Blueberry Bushel. Voor een eerste poging ben ik heel tevreden.

Daaronder zien jullie twee kaartjes die ik ook sponste maar eerder dus eenvoudig hield qua achtergrond en waarbij ik de mooie bloemen heb gestempeld in het blauw en geponst en ze wat opgebold zodat het 3D idee heeft. De vlinder komt ook uit hetzelfde set Pop of petals.

This month the Kleurenkaartenteam has set a very nice challenge, use bright yellow and kobalt blue. And as I wanted to try something already awhile, I sponged with Pineapple Punch and then I took my clear block and I added some elastics on it and stamped with that in Blueberry Bushel so I got a nice background. I must say I love the combi.

And you also see two cards where I did some sponging too but I kept it simpler there and I stamped the flowers in blue and gave them a 3D look, the butterfly is also from the same set Pop of petals.

Zonnestraaltje - Sunshine

Bloemen geven extra energie in deze maanden, maar ook zonnestralen en het combineren van onze mooie Nederlandse set Voorjaarswensen met de set Artfully Aware leek mij daarbij heel gepast. Het ontstond heel toevallig vermits ik met een zelfgemaakt sjabloon de dames even toonde hoe je kon sponsen en wat het effect was. Vermits dit toen op mijn tafel lag, en een van de deelnemers met de set Artfully Aware werkte, ontsproot bij mij het idee om hier een combinatie van te maken. 's Avonds kreeg mijn man dan deze lieve kaart.

Flowers give you extra energy in Spring but also the sun, so why not combine the beautiful Dutch set with the set Artfully aware. I showed some participants how they could do the sponging with a self made template and as that was on my table and one of the participants worked with the set Artfully aware I thought I could combine this in a simple card. And in the evening I gave it to my husband, we can all surprise our partner on any day of the year.

Vrolijke lentekleuren - cheerful springcolors

Deze set is nu toch echt wel mijn favoriet uit de Sale-a-brations catalogus. De bloem is zo mooi en zo eenvoudig te stempelen. Ik koos deze keer voor de kleuren Lime, Grapefruit en Granny apple. Ik wou  een teamlid even laten zien hoe mooi de bloem was en door de uitgestanste bloem kwam ik op het idee om deze op een paar kaartjes te verwerken. Er lagen nog wat sjablonen op tafel dus in een handomdraai maakte ik deze drie kaartjes. Ik moet zeggen dat ik het nu moeilijk vind om een favoriet te kiezen want ik vind ze alle drie heel mooi.

This set is definitively my favorite from the Sale-a-brations catalogue. The flower is so beautiful and easy to stamp. I chose the colors Lime, Grapefruit and Granny apple this time. I wanted to show a team member how beautiful the flower is, and as I saw the flower cut out I came with the idea to make three cards with it as I had some templates still on my table too. I love them all and it is difficult to say which one I prefer the most.

Paars - Purple

Vandaag heb ik de vlindertjes als toevoeging gebruikt op een set van kaarten die ik maakte met het mooie Gingham gala design papier en de set Dear doily. Ik koos ervoor om slechts met een tint paars te werken namelijk Highland Heather. En dit te tonen in diverse opmaak mogelijkheden. Door te spelen met de kantwerkjes, het papier en de bloemen alsook de tekst, heb je in een handomdraai zes mooie kaarten voor diverse gelegenheden.

Today I added the SAB butterflies to a set of cards where I wanted to use just one inkpad Highland Heather. I wanted to show people that with just a few things you can make different cards for any occasion. The gingham gala design series papier is so beautiful. Hope you like the different ways I used the stamp set Dear doily, the dies and the butterflies.

Klein detail - Little detail

En dan nog eentje in Delfts blauw deze keer met een klein extra accentje, wat kan je toch veel met een stempelset, iedere keer weer verrassend door een ander detail uit te diepen. Deze keer gebruikte ik een ronde pons om een stukje naar voor te halen, en met potloden in te kleuren.

And another Delft blue card, how different each card can be by just changing one single element. This time I used a round punch to lift a part of the flower of the hostess set, and I even colored it with pencils.

Kantenrand - Lace border

Toen ik de vier blauwe kaartjes maakte, gebruikte ik hetzelfde sjabloon nog eens om een kantenrand te stempelen. Ik vind het best goed gelukt, deze keer. met twee tinten blauw hoewel ik slechts Blueberry blue gebruikte. De vlinder zorgt natuurlijk voor een extra kleurtje.

When I made the four blue cards I also used the template for another card with a kind of lace border. I used two shades of blue although I only used Blueberry blue. The butterfly from Butterfly gala adds an extra color.

1 sjabloon 4 kaarten - 1 template 4 cards

Vandaag heb ik voor jullie vier Delfts blauwe kaarten, even een andere stijl dan jullie van mij gewend zijn. Ik koos ervoor om met 1 sjabloon vier verschillende kaarten te maken en de nodige technieken te gebruiken, vooral het sponsen komt hier echt aan bod. Ik werkte met weinig kleuren, in hoofdzaak werkte ik met Blueberry Blue. Ik ben zelf ook heel verbaasd over het geheel, natuurlijk hoort bij iedere kaart een passend envelopje dat ik met dezelfde bloem uit de hostess set heb gestempeld. De vlindertjes uit de Vlinderdans heb ik natuurlijk ook terug gebruikt en op een kaart die ook in een andere kleur gekozen voor het contrast.

Today I have for you four Delft blue cards with envelops, a different style as I normally make but I am very satisfied how they turned out. I took one template and made four different cards with it. I used not much colors, mostly Blueberry blue but on one card I added an other color for the butterflies. Hope you like how they turned out.

Voorbereiding Workshop dag 6 maart - Preparations Workshop day 6 March

Op woensdag 6 maart zal er terug een workshop middag doorgaan in de Molenhof te Zaamslag. Hier een sneakpeak van wat er gemaakt wordt. Wij gaan aan de slag met de Envelop punch board om een doosje te maken waar 10 kaartjes en envelopjes in kunnen. Die 10 kaartjes zullen wij ook maken en diverse technieken zullen op deze kaartjes gebruikt worden. Denk hierbij aan stempelen kleur op kleur, inkleuren met potloden, babydoekjes techniek, sponsen, ... Wil jij bij deze middag aanwezig zijn, laat het dan voor 15 februari weten zodat wij rekening kunnen houden met de materialen die wij moeten aanschaffen. De middag zal geleid worden door mezelf en Gerda. Wij zorgen voor koffie, thee, fris en iets lekkers erbij. Start om 13:30, inloop vanaf 13:00. Prijs: 15 euro. 

Dit is slechts een voorbeeld, je zult kunnen kiezen tussen bloemen, vlinders en andere thema's, je gaat in elk geval naar huis met een doosje met 10 kaartjes zodat je voor elke gelegenheid iets bij de hand hebt.

On Wednesday 6 March I am organizing a workshop afternoon together with Gerda. We will be making a little box with the Envelop punch board that will hold 10 cards and envelops. We will show divers techniques such as stamping tone on tone, sponging, baby wipe technique, coloring with pencils,... This is just an example there will be possibilities to chose to work with butterflies, hearts, flowers and any theme you want so you go home with a box with 10 cards for any occasion.

Less is more

Vandaag laat ik jullie weer eens een paar kaartjes zien die ik maakte en waar ik koos voor Less is more. Echt ik blijf dat nog steeds de mooiste vinden voor bepaalde thema's. En de mooie SAB set By the Bay leent zich hier perfect voor. Ik koos soft suède om te stempelen en de kleine notecards en envelopjes in very vanille. Ik heb de randjes nog even gesponst met dezelfde inkt en ik heb twee versies gemaakt met twee teksten uit de set Voorjaarswensen. Ik ben heel blij met deze nieuwe Nederlandse set. Uiteindelijk krijgen we eindelijk wat wij willen namelijk meer en meer Nederlandse sets. Ik weet zeker dat deze set ook mooi zal zijn ingekleurd, dat toon ik jullie later wel eens.

Today I show you a couple of cards with of course my favorite Less is More. Yes why should we crowd our cards, some stamps do not need that. The simplicity is enough. I used the SAB set By the bay and I used almost all stamps with pictures, I used the building on the front, the shell on the envelop and the birds inside the card and all in soft suede. And of course I sponged the edges to give it an old look. The text is from a new Dutch set which I adore and I am happy we get good Dutch texts now, we had to wait long, but finally we got some.
