Ideas Blog Hop Holidays (Lighting the way)

                                  

Vandaag gaan wij weer lekker hoppen met de IDEAS groep, een groep van internationale demonstratices die jullie willen inspireren met hun projecten en die hiervoor allemaal een tutorial hebben gemaakt.  

Deze maand staat alles in het teken van holidays, in de breedste betekenis van het woord namelijk vakantie vieren, kerstmis waar je samen met familie viert. Ik koos voor een projectje als een soort van easel kaart maar dan wel eentje waar je een theelichtje achter kunt plaatsen en zo het gevoel geeft dat je op vakantie bent en lekker kampeert met een kampeerlichtje, maar het kaartje zou ook kunnen voor de kerst.

Elke tutorial in de bundel bevat minimaal een kaart en een ander project, soms zelfs meerdere. This month it is all about holidays, in the broadest sense so celebrating holiday with your family, or Christmas. I chose to make an easel card but one where you can put a tea light behind it and it reminds me of camping with its cute light, but it can also be a Christmas card.

Vlinder en vuurvliegjes - Butterfly and fireflies

Deze keer heb ik voor de uitdaging groot en klein een oudere set gebruikt voor de vlinder namelijk de Swallowtail, ik blijf die nog steeds heel mooi vinden, ik heb hem ingekleurd met markers. En ik heb deze gecombineerd met de vuurvliegjes uit de Lighting the way. Zo heb je opnieuw het contrast.

 This time for the challenge big and small I took our retired old Swallowtail, which is a beautiful big butterfly which I colored with the markers. And I used the Lighting the way for the fireflies. 

Groot en klein - Big and small

Ook deze twee kaartjes maakte ik met de uitdaging groot en klein, hier gebruikte ik voor de olifant en muis slechts 1 set voor namelijk Love you Lots, zo leuk. De takjes zijn weer van Lighting the way.

 Also these cards are made for the challenge big and small, this time I used just one set for the elephant and mouse, the cute set Love you lots.

Olifant en muis - Elephant and mouse

Het is alweer een tijdje terug dat ik mee deed met een uitdaging namelijk groot en klein combineren op een kaart. Tja je kon in alle richtingen denken, ik koos voor een olifant en een muis op aanraden van mijn man. Dus ik kon eindelijk de mooie grote retired olifant gebruiken die ik ooit van Lida overnam. Ik ben heel tevreden met het resultaat. Natuurlijk gebruikte ik ook nog de Lighting the way voor de takjes die passen er gewoonweg bij.

Awhile ago I had a challenge of big and small in one card so I took a mouse and an elephant as was the suggestion of my husband. I took the lighting the way for the leafs as I loved that to be on the card too. It makes it more cheerful. And it gave the chance to use the big elephant I got from my upline Lida.

Kleurenkaartenchallenge Lila mauve - Color challenge dark and light lila

De kleurenkaartenchallenge van Martina's kaartjes is deze keer lila en mauve. En nu wilde het deze keer wel dat ik al een kaartje klaar had net met deze kleurtjes namelijk het mooie DSP met de bergen in diverse tinten lila en daarop de lantaarn. Het is een easel kaartje waar je een theelichtje achter kan zetten en dat je dan in het donker ziet oplichten. 

This time the color challenge is one of light and dark Lila. And as I made one recently it fits just for this challenge. As I used the cute DSP with the mountains in Lila shades and with a dark light in front of it. Because of the vellum and the fact it is an easel card you can put a tea light behind it and it will light up in the dark.

Verlichten van de weg - lighting the way

Hier een eenvoudig kaartje die ik maakte met de bundel Lighting the way, letterlijk de weg verlichten. Niet enkel door de lamp maar ook door de vuurvliegjes. Een heel leuke set, een combi van stansen en leuke stempels. Deze stempels zijn voor het eerst ook verkrijgbaar in doorzichtig en in cling, dus even opletten wanneer jullie deze bestellen. Beide hebben hun voordelen, namelijk doorzichtig zie je goed waar je iets stempelt, cling blijft iets langer goed. Mijn voorkeur ligt bij cling.

A simple card made with the set Lighting the way,  not only by the lamp but also by the fireflies. I love it, a nice combi of dies and stamps. The stamps are for the first time photopolymer and cling, so you can chose. It all depends what you want, the photopolymer are easier to see where you stamp something, but the cling have a longer life time. My preference is the cling.
