Uil - Owl

Onlangs kreeg ik de vraag om kaarten te maken zonder tekst met de techniek van ene Z-fold en waar een vogel op zat. Ik kreeg daardoor de inspiratie om niet enkel een kaart te maken met de vogel uit Best Birds erop maar ook een kaartje met de uil uit de set Still Night. De fijne takjes komen uit een ouder set Hopefull thoughts.

Recently I got a question to make a Z-fold card with a bird on it, and as I was making it with the Best birds set I decided I could make one with the owl from the Still night set too. I added some little leaves from an older set Hopefull thoughts. I love the way it turned out.

Never-ending four times

Ik kreeg een bestelling voor drie neverending kaarten en liefst met thema lente-zomer-herfst en winter. Tja, dan ga je nadenken wat kan ik hierop maken, hoe beeld ik de lente uit. Daar komt natuurlijk de Colourful seasons set als eerste uit de bus. Hiermee maakte ik dus alle bloeiende takjes. Vervolgens had ik nog randen, die wou ik ook voorzien van stempels daarvoor koos ik Hopeful thoughts, ik hou immers van die fijne takjes. Vermits ik de dame drie verschillende wou bieden, heb ik de kaart toch drie keer anders aangekleed en gelijk nog een vierde gemaakt voor op mijn showtafels de komende tijd. Zo koos ik de vogel uit Best Birds, de takken vol bloesem uit Colourful seasons en de stoel ook uit dat set. Ik vind ze alle vier heel geslaagd.

 

As I got an order from a lady to make three never-ending cards with theme Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter I had to think how I would make the Spring. I decided the Colourful seasons would be the best set for that to make all the branches with the blossom. And as I had borders I wanted to make those subtle so I chose the Hopeful thoughts set as I like the delicate leaves. As I wanted to present her three different ones and I wanted one extra for my show tables, I tried to make three different ones for her. One with the blossoms on it, one with the blossom and chair from the Colourful seasons set and one with the Best birds. I love all of them.

Lentekaart - Spring card (Z-fold)

Vandaag ook weer een Z-fold kaart deze keer een lentekaartje, ik heb de takjes met de Hopeful Thoughts set gemaakt en de vogel en het takje waarop hij zit komen uit de Best Birds set. 

Today I show you all a Z-fold card again this time a spring type. The leaves are with the Hopeful Thougths set stamped and the bird and the stem he is sitting on is from the Best birds bundle. I love it, and you?

Neverending flowers and birds

Onlangs heb ik een vriendin getoond hoe zij een neverending kaart kon maken, terwijl zij aan de slag ging, startte ik ook met mijn kaart alleen deze kwam niet ten einde. Vandaag vond ik de tijd om hem af te werken en dat met sets die allemaal nog een jaartje langer bij ons blijven. Twee vliegen in een klap namelijk gelijk een mooi voorbeeldje voor de open dag, want ja hoor dames, hij komt er weer de nieuwe catalogus en de gezellige open dag. Hou de blog in de gaten. Ik koos voor de mooie set met de vogels Best Birds en heb deze dus vooraan op de kaart geplaatst en vervolgens de kleinere vogeltjes ook binnenin. Binnenin ging ik dan aan de slag met Hopeful thoughts set, een fijn bloemetje dat mijn hart blijft vertederen. En op de laatste draai, daar gebruikte ik de Wild about flowers voor, ook een set dat ik nog steeds heel veelzijdig vind. Benieuwd of jullie deze kaart ook weer leuk vinden.

Recently I showed a friend how to make a neverending card and I started mine too but I never ended it so today I did it and chose four sets which will last for another year. On the front we have the Best bird set which is lovely and has matching dies, the little birds I used then on the first turn too to put them on the branches of the Hopeful thought flowers. I love that set because it is so delicate, the second turn I worked with that set too and the last turn I used the Wild about flowers and as I had some white I used a die from the Dragonfly dreams set, the little bugs fits well here. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Condoleance kaarten - condoleance cards

Af en toe hebben wij ook kaarten nodig voor trieste gebeurtenissen, en hoewel wij dat geen van allen graag willen versturen en maken, geeft het een goed gevoel als wij anderen op die manier kunnen laten merken dat wij toch aan hen denken. Ik maakte deze week een aantal van deze kaarten, allemaal met dezelfde opzet maar net met andere kleurstellingen. Eenvoudig en stijlvol.

Nobody wants to send those cards as they represent a very sad period, but once and awhile it is necessary and it gives the other person a bit of comfort in their sorrow. I made some condoleance cards this week, all the same but just with a bit of different colour setting. I love the simplicity and find them very stylish.

Condoleance

Af en toe heb je ook wel eens kaartjes nodig voor een minder leuke gelegenheid. Dit zijn geen eenvoudige kaarten om te maken, ik gebruik dan meestal terug de stijl Less is More. Eenvoudig stempeltje inkleuren met de markers, papier afstemmen op de stempel en een gepaste tekst, deze is wel van een andere merk, ik vind hem gewoonweg passen.

Once and awhile you need cards for less pleasant moments. Not easy to make, but I mostly use the technique Less is More, just a simple stamp coloured with markers, the correct paper and a good text. The text is not from SU, but I like it for this condoleance card.

Oh happy day Tipee

Vandaag terug eens een tipee kaartje voor jullie deze keer heb ik de Hopeful thoughts bloemetjes gecombineerd met de mooie Papillon stempels en natuurlijk een van de mooie teksten die je schitterend kunt uitponsen met de banner pons. Af en toe een aparte vorm is een uitdaging.

 

Today I show you a tipee card this time I worked with the Hopeful thoughts flowers in combination with the Papillon stamps and of course the nice Thoughtful banners textes which fit very nicely in the banner punch. I love the challenge of different format of cards.

Beterschap - Get well

Iemand een hart onder de riem steken kan je op verschillende manieren dus ook met een leuk kaartje en bijpassend geschenkje. Ik koos voor de stempelset Hopeful thoughts en heb het uitgewerkt in de kleuren cherry cobbler en garden green.

You can say get well in different ways also with a card and giftbox. I used the Hopeful thoughts set in worked with the colours cherry cobbler and garden green.

Combi

Deze keer weer eens een combi gemaakt namelijk een leuke kaart met de scalloped tag topper punch en met de stempel Hopeful thoughts uitgewerkt in Watermelon Wonder en Cucumber Crush, echt vrolijke kleurtjes. Na het maken van de kaart besloot ik ook een geschenkverpakking te maken zodat ik weer een leuke combi op voorraad heb. Dit setje kan in de doos voor de workshop aanstaande zaterdag waar creatieve dames hopelijk even mooie kaarten maken.

This time I made a combination of a gift wrapping and a card with the same set Hopeful thoughts. I used the newest colours Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush, I love the bright colours. The set will be used as an example for the workshop I will be holding next saturday, curious what the ladies will make.

Workshop Waterlandkerkje

Vandaag een workshop met creatieve dames in Waterlandkerkje. Deze keer gaan de dames doosjes bekleden en een bijpassend kaartje maken. Welke zij maken, laat ik jullie zo snel mogelijk zien, dit zijn een paar voorbeelden die ik maakte en die de dames in elk geval zal inspireren. Er is een grote keuze aan stempels mee, dus ze kunnen hun hartje ophalen en kennis maken met de schitterende producten van Stampin'Up!

Today I have a workshop in Waterlandkerkje with a bunch of creative young ladies. This time they will decorate boxes and make a card to go with it. Which they will make or chose, I will present you as soon as I have time. These are a few of the examples I made as inspiration for them. I take a lot of stamps with me so they can play with whatever they want and get to know the beautiful products of Stampin'Up!

One design two ways

Deze keer heb ik met een stempel set twee verschillende doosjes gemaakt. Ik koos voor vrolijke kleurtjes daar deze doosjes voor een Indische dame zijn. Ik heb gewerkt met garden green en real red. Heb de takjes en bloemetjes met de markers ingekleurd en verwerkt tot op deze doosjes. Mijn collega vond ze in elk geval al super.

This time I used one stamps set to make two different kind of boxes. I chose cheerful colours as the boxes are for an Indian lady. I worked with garden green and real red and used the markers to colour the stamps. I then put them on the boxes, my colleague loved them.

Vrolijke kleurtjes - cheerful colours

Vandaag geef ik een workshop in Westdorpe. Er zullen kamerscherm kaarten gemaakt worden. Als voorbeeld maakte ik onder andere eentje met de set Hopeful thoughts die ik in vrolijke kleuren uitwerkte oa pink piroutte, melon mambo, pacific blue en old olive. Ik wou vooral een romantische en vrolijke kaart maken. Volgens mij ben ik daar wel in geslaagd. Ik weet dat de gastvrouw het felle roze leuk vond, dus heb ik dit in de kaart verwerkt. Een paar blauwe vlinders zorgen voor het extra contrast. Ben benieuwd wat de dames zullen maken, dat is zelfs voor een demonstratrice altijd een verrassing.

Today I am giving a workshop in Westdorpe with some creative ladies. We will make screen cards and as an example I made one with cheerful colours. I knew the hostess loves the brighter pink so I used melon mambo for this card. The other colours are pink pirouette, pacific blue and old olive. I used the set Hopeful thoughts and some butterflies in blue give the card an extra dimension. I love the card and curious what the ladies will make, always a surprise for a demonstrator too.
