Vissenlijst - Fish frame

Ik blijf nog even bij het zeethema. Deze keer heb ik met de overschot aan schelpen, die ik nog had van de popup kaart, heb ik een leuke vissenlijst gemaakt, min of meer als een soort van mini aquarium. Ik heb de zee lichtjes gesponst, vervolgens met lost lagoon het zeewier gestempeld en een paar vissen in real red erbij. Een van de vissen heb ik met dimensionals verhoogd opgekleefd. Daar de lijst een mooie passe partout had, heb ik voorop deze de schelpen en krab geplaatst, deze zijn in chocolate chips en tangerine tango gestempeld.

I stay with the sea theme. This time I took my leftovers from the shells from the popup card and made a frame of it. I first sponged the sea and then with lost lagoon stamped the kelp and the fishes in real red. One of them I used dimensionals for so it gets the 3D effect. And as it is a 3D frame I could put the shells and crab in front of the frame so it really looks like an aquarium. I used chocolate chips and tangerine tango for those elements.

Popup kaart zee - Popup card sea

De voorbereidingen voor de workshop aanstaande zaterdag zijn nog steeds aan de gang. Deze keer maakte ik een voorbeeld van een popup kaart met de leuke zeeschelpen set By the seashore. Het was een hele klus om alles te knippen maar uiteindelijk heb je dan een leuke kaart met een zeethema.

I am still doing some preparations for the workshop coming Saturday. This time an example of a popup card with very nice seashells stamped with the set By the seashore. A lot of work to cut everything but I love this sea theme card.

Hortensia workshop Stichting Steunpunt Terneuzen

Afgelopen vrijdag heb ik voor Stichting Steunpunt in de bibliotheek van Terneuzen een workshop Hortensia's maken georganiseerd. Iedereen kon vrij aanschuiven en deze leuke bloem maken. Sommigen durfden niet echt, anderen gingen volg goede moed aan de slag en na een kwartiertje hadden zij een mooie bloem. Nikki kijkt heel ernstig doch zij was heel erg blij met haar bloem die nu bij haar thuis in een vaasje prijkt. Het was voor herhaling vatbaar. Last Friday for Stichting Steunpunt we organised a workshop Hortensia making in the library of Terneuzen. Everybody was free to come and join us. Some were shy but others really tried it and after a quarter of an hour they had a very nice flower. Nikki looks like she did not love it, but she sure did and went home with a nice flower which is now sitting in a vase. We will repeat this workshop. Speciaal papier - Special paper

Deze keer geen kaarten die ik gemaakt heb. Nee, deze werden gemaakt door mijn vriendin Lael uit Canada, ook een SU demonstratrice en zij houdt af en toe ook workshops en heeft deze keer kaarten gemaakt met het mooie gratis design papier uit de SAB folder en heeft dit op diverse manieren ingekleurd. De ene keer gebruikte zij de sponstechniek, dan weer de blendabilities en de brayer. Zij heeft dit dan gecombineerd met een techniek die zij heel goed beheerst namelijk iris vouwen. Stuk voor stuk plaatjes en heel mooi om dit te ontvangen.

This time I show you cards from my friend Lael in Canada, she is a Stampin'Up! demonstrator too and gives workshops too. She prepared one where she would work with the special design paper that is now for free in the SAB leaflet. She worked with the blendabilities, a sponge and the brayer. And she combined it with the technique she masters very well iris folding. All of them are very nice and very special, who would not want to receive such a card.

Beterschap kaart - Get well card

Een beterschap kaart is leuk om te krijgen, het geeft de zieke wat moed. Onlangs had ik een leuk filmpje gezien van Bastelhexchen  en dat zette mij aan het denken om hier eens mee aan de slag te gaan. Eenvoudig was het niet want ik moest eerst beslissen wat ik ermee zou maken, doch toen iemand een ongeluk kreeg, was het snel beslist, want de letters pasten. Dus een paar uur aan de slag in de lievelingskleuren van de dame in kwestie, het bleek iets meer tijd in beslag te nemen dan ik gedacht had. Doch ik ben heel blij met het resultaat. De letters heb ik met de Morning Post Occassions set gestempeld, de vlinders komen uit de potpourri papillon set en de blaadjes uit de Perpetual birthday calendar. Voorop heb ik de stempel van Wildflower Meadow gebruikt waar ik slechts een deel van heb ingekleurd met de markers en in plaats van een kolibri heb ik er een vlinder bij gevoegd.

Recently I found a nice type of card (Bastelhexchen had made a youtube movie). First I did not know which text I would use, but then a friend had a terrible accident and I decided to make a get well card as the words fitted. I stamped the words with the Morning Post Occassion set and added some butterflies from the potpourri papillon set and the little leaves are from my favorite set now the Perpetual birthday calendar. In front I stamped a part from the wildflower meadow which I coloured with the markers and again I added a butterfly. It was a lot of work and I under estimated the work, but it was worthwhile and I love the result.

Maanlicht - Moonlight

Deze keer een mannelijke kaart, eentje met de sponstechniek in combinatie met een stansje van een ander merk. Natuurlijk gebruikte ik de stamp-a-ma-jig om de Lovely as a tree bomen te spiegelen. En met een klein rond maskertje maakte ik er een maanlicht kaartje van. Vooraan heb ik geen tekst geplaatst, op die manier kon ik het openhouden voor elke gelegenheid.

This time a man card. One with the sponging technique in combination with a die from another brand. Of course I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to mirror the Lovely as a tree set. I used a small mask for the round and made a moonlight scene out of it. In front I did not add a text so I can use it for any occassion.

Zelf sluitend doosje - self closing box

Via Pootles Facebook groep zag ik een leuk zelf sluitend doosje voor een paar snoepjes. Ja, dat kon ik niet laten om na te maken nadat ik de duidelijk beschrijving had gevonden via een zekere Carroll. Ik koos voor pink pirouette en heb dit gevouwen en daarna leuk bestempeld met een donkere roze kleur met de bloemetjes uit de Perpetual Birthday Calendar set. Om bovenaan geen rechte rand te krijgen, heb ik de Labels collection gebruikt en hier een sierlijke vorm aan gegeven.

Via the Pootles Facebook group I saw a nice self closing box for some treats. So I could not resist to check it out and after looking at the clear description via a certain Carroll, I made it in pink pirouette. I first scored and cut and then stamped it with the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set in a brighter pink. As I wanted a nice closure and not a flat one, I used the labels collection for it.
