Elke donderdag kerst - Each Thursday Christmas (Week 5)

De set Birds of feather heeft een lief klein vogeltje net een kerstmuts en ik ben hem totaal vergeten, dus deze week en volgende week even een voorbeeldje. Ik heb de ronde pons van 2 inch gebruikt en de gekartelde pons, deze passen perfect op elkaar. Verder had ik nog een stukje cardstock liggen dat ik ooit al met een pons had bewerkt dus deze werden eindelijk samengevoegd. Om de kaart niet te wit te laten lijken nog wat lichte spatjes.

I have forgotten the cute set Birds of feather so today and next week you get an example with it. I used the big 2 inch round punch and the starburst punch they fit perfectly. I also had a piece of paper where I had used the banner triple punch so they all came together on a card. And as I did not want to be it too white I added a bit of little splatters.

Kleurenkaartenteam zwart groen - Color card team challenge black green

Condoleance kaarten maakt niemand graag maar af en toe toch wel noodzakelijk en hier dacht ik aan toen ik de challenge van het kleurenkaartenteam zag. Nee niet het voorbeeld zoals zij het plaatsten want dat is nogal erg fleurig in groen en zwart. In elk geval vind ik dat het mooi is om een stemmingsvolle kaart te maken met de nieuwste set Positive thoughts waar ik de blaadjes in twee tinten groen stempelde en een gesponste rand maakte. De tekst komt uit de set Tijdloze tulpen.

Nobody loves to make condoleance cards but we need them from time to time. So when I saw the challenge from the color card team I thought I could make one, although the picture as example did not give that sentiment. I used the set Positive thoughts were I used the leaves in two tones of green and I sponged some green too. The text I took from the Tijdloze tulpen set.

Bloesem - Blossem (Crumb cake)

En dan vandaag voor jullie een kaart met weer een andere insteek, deze keer gekleurd op crumb cake cardstock en de laagjes in calypso coral en old Olive gehouden. Ook dit is mooi. 

And today for you a card with a different view, this time coloring on crumb cake cardstock and layers of cardstock old olive and calypso coral. I love this too.

Bloesem - Blossom (Sahara sand)

Ook vandaag een kaartje met de potloden en de nieuwe set Nieuwe bloesems, deze keer gekleurd op Sahara Sand. Het geeft weer een ander effect.

Also today a card with the pencils this time I colored on Sahara sand cardstock, it gives a different effect.

En dan nu de laatste in de rij van vier kaarten met Sip sip hooray bundel. Deze keer twee cocktail glaasjes met een iets andere tekst, die misschien iets minder geschikt is als kerstkaart maar die ik nog wel in de serie vind passen. Het is denk ik eerder een verjaardag- of huwelijkskaart. Maar in elk geval biedt het ook inspiratie voor een kerstkaart. Vanaf volgende week hoop ik dan weer typische kerstkaarten te kunnen presenteren. Kleuren hier: Grapefruit Grove, Granny apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade en Blueberry Bushel.

And today the last one in the row of four cards with Sip sip hooray bundle. This time two glasses of cocktail with a different text, perhaps not that much for Christmas but it can still give you inspiration for Christmas. I think it is more for a birthday or wedding. I used the colors Grapefruit Grove, Danny apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel. Starting next week I hope to have inspiration for real Christmas cards again.

Bloesem - Blossom (Wit/White)

Vandaag heb ik een eenvoudige kaart voor jullie op Whisper White en ingekleurd met de potloden. Ik zag onlangs een mooi filmpje hoe tulpen gekleurd werden en ik heb min of meer dezelfde techniek toegepast. Dus ik heb met old Olive, calypso coral en Pacific point gewerkt als kleuren, ja je vermoed het niet maar er is een vleugje blauw toegevoegd wat net het extra accentje geeft. En om een beetje schaduw toe te voegen, heel lichtjes met grijs links onder de bloem en blaadjes.

Today I made a very simple card on Whisper white which I colored with the pencils. I saw a YouTube movie where they colored our tulips and I used the same technique a bit so I even used pacific point as color, the little blue gives the extra accent. Further I used old olive, calypso coral and a bit of gray to add some extra shadow to the left of the flower and leaves. 

Fleurige rouwkaarten - cheerful condoleance

De set Positive thoughts is een heel veelzijdige set en ik maakte daar een reeks van kaarten mee, de eerste zie je hier, best wel een fleurige ook al is het een condoleance kaart, uiteindelijk wil niet iedereen een zware rouwkaart. Ik heb dus naast de tekst van Tijdloze tulpen de takjes in het groen de ene keer gestempeld in het gesponste gedeelte en er eentje bovenop en de andere keer twee kleuren groen gebruikt. Een bloem en een vlinder bij de ene en bij de andere mij beperkt tot enkel een vlinder.

The set Positive thoughts is a very versatile set and I made a row of cards with them. The first ones you see here, rather a cheerful condoleance card but they should not all be that heavy I thought. I chose the text from Timeless tulips and I sponged a border in green, once stamped the leaves on it and added then a branch of the leaves, and on the other card I used that branch in two tones of green. In the one card I added the flower and the butterfly and on the other just the butterfly, all from the same stamp set.
